Our prefects are appointed each September from children in Year 6. Children who are interested in becoming prefects have to apply in writing and have a referee who recommends them as being suitable. They then have an interview with Mr Crook where they are asked questions relating to what they think the role of the prefect is and why they would make a good prefect.
Duties
Prefects are expected to be excellent role models at all times.
They are each allocated to a class in the school and they assist staff in that class with any tasks needed.
They represent the school at functions and with visitors and help at school events such as parent/carer consultation evenings.
They take turns in patrolling the corridors at break and lunchtimes and help the lunchtime supervisors in the dining room.
